The faculty boasts a number of specialities including international, foreign and comparative law, but in reality, there are few areas of legal expertise that are not represented to the highest of standards. The Harvard Law School admissions department attracts over 6000 hopefuls each year. Applicants must sit the Law Schools Admissions Test (LSAT) and register for the LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service. Undergraduate and graduate transcripts and two letters of personal recommendation for the course also form part of the stringent application process. Applications currently cost $85 and must be received by the annual deadline of February 1. Becoming a top flight lawyer at Harvard is not a cheap option. The 13% of applicants who are successful can expect to pay in the region of $47,600 in annual tuition fees.
